I’m Niya head of research, I gained a degree in Law from the University of Essex in 2017 where I was exposed to new ideas and modes of thinking. I gained knowledge regarding legislation and academic implementations that have allowed me to form a more holistic opinion of the world.
I have also enrolled at the University of Law where I will do my LPC and masters in legal practice, which will enable me to have a better understanding of the logistics behind legislation and its practical application.
At university, I was an active member of Models UN and helped in organising and running activities and stalls. I was also a member of Education for All, a charity that help raises money for girls around the world in remote areas to have access to education.
Alongside work, I also volunteer as a child support worker for a Domestic Violence and Child Welfare charity, where our aim is to make a positive impact on young people’s lives by giving them the tools to live an independent life when they leave the residential homes. This is one of the most rewarding aspects for me to see young individuals achieve their goals and aspirations.
In my spare time I have a huge passion for cooking! I enjoy creating healthy and fusion recipes with local and South Asian influences. I have an Instagram account that I post my plant based food creations on for people to enjoy and recreate
